On October 20, 2023, PPWC Local 8 President Adrian Soldera was featured in a news clip on CityNews Vancouver.
PPWC Local 8 members at Rogers Sugar has been on strike since September 28. The union wants to end continuous shifting, which includes working long hours for long stretches of time.
“We want our dental benefits maintained,” said Soldera. “We’re looking for an increase in pension, obviously an increase in wages.”
